The Role

Edway Labour Hire is continuously looking for Building Associates for our clients and we currently have several positions available in NSW and VIC. As a Building Associate, you will be responsible for successful planning, execution, monitoring, control and closure of a project.

  

Some of the key responsibilities include: 

  • Ensure projects are completed to contract guideline
  • Monitor, scheduling and tracking project progress
  • Plan or work activities and quality checks
  • Organize trades and materials to ensure maximum productivity
  • Ensure safety policy and procedures on site
  • Attend and report in monthly construction meetings
  • Supervise construction sites, organizing and coordinating the material and
  • Assist Construction Managers, Architects and Surveyors in planning and organization
  • Interpret plans, regulations and codes of practice
  • Prepare preliminary sketches, working drawings and specifications
  • Prepare, edit and revise plans, maps, charts and drawings
  • Coordinate works programs
  • Inspect work and materials for compliance with specifications, regulations and standards
  • Calculate costs and estimating time scales
  • Collect data using surveying instruments and photogrammetric equipment

General Requirements:

  • Years of Experience: 2-3 years of relevant practical professional experience
  • Education: At least a degree level of qualification
  • OH&S and Q/A guidelines and regulations
  • Ability to solve problem and time management
  • Experience in managing multiple projects and deadlines
  • Ability to work either independently or as part of a group to achieve required outcomes
  • Strong customer interface and presentation skills, with a customer focus attitude
