The Role
Edway Labour Hire is continuously looking for Nurse Practitioners for our clients and we currently have several positions available in NSW and VIC. As a Nurse Practitioners, you are a Nurse Practitioner who has acquired an expert knowledge base, with outstanding decision making skills and sound clinical competencies for advanced and extended practice
Some of the key responsibilities include:
- Perform initial patient screenings and patient history and physical examinations
- Update patient records and check records for accuracy at each patient appointment
- Analyze test data and determine the need for follow-up appointments and further treatment options
- Deliver quality care while maintaining all company metrics pertaining to productivity
- Serve as the resource patients need for ongoing care information, counseling and provide guidance for any patients with critical conditions
- Assisting the medical practitioner in delivering medical services: patient triage, acute illness, health assessments /injury management, rehabilitation and chronic disease management
- Daily co-ordination of the treatment room: stock control, sterilization, general maintenance and care of medical instruments, and equipment
- Identifying & contributing to the development of patient educational needs
- Implementing and practicing infection control
General Requirements:
- Years of Experience: 2-3 years of relevant practical professional experience
- Education: At least a degree level of Education
- Demonstrated clinical leadership, mentorship and support to clinical staff
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to engage with both patients, staff and stakeholders
- Demonstrated advanced nursing skills in assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of client-centered care within scope of practice
- Demonstrated ability to think critically, problem solve and make sound clinical decisions utilizing evidence based guidelines both autonomously and collaboratively
